Cleantech Building Maintenance is a veteran-owned commercial cleaning company based in South Burlington, Vermont, with over 25 years of experience keeping Vermont workplaces clean, healthy, and professional. We serve banks and financial institutions, medical offices, technology companies, and large commercial office buildings across the greater Burlington area. We are currently looking for a reliable and detail-oriented general office cleaner to join our team.
This is a part-time, evening-shift position, Monday through Friday. It is a great opportunity for someone who takes pride in their work, values consistency, and wants to be part of a team that Vermonters have trusted since 2000.
Roles & Responsibilities
As a general office cleaner with Cleantech Building Maintenance, your core responsibilities will include:
- Sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming hard floors and carpeted areas throughout assigned office spaces
- Dusting and wiping down surfaces including desks, tables, windowsills, and shared equipment
- Cleaning and disinfecting restrooms and replenishing paper, soap, and other consumable supplies
- Sanitizing high-touch surfaces such as door handles, light switches, elevator buttons, and countertops
- Emptying trash receptacles and recycling bins and disposing of waste properly
- Maintaining the cleanliness of common areas including hallways, lobbies, and breakrooms
- Reporting any maintenance issues, safety hazards, or supply shortages to management promptly
- Following all cleaning protocols and safety guidelines as specified by Cleantech and our clients
- Assisting with light facilities maintenance tasks as directed
What we are looking for:
- Previous experience in janitorial, custodial, or commercial cleaning work is preferred
- Familiarity with commercial cleaning products and proper usage is an asset
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining consistently high standards
- Good time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and work independently
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic
- Ability to commute to South Burlington, Vermont reliably for each scheduled shift
- Comfortable working evening hours, Monday through Friday
- Ability to stand, walk, and perform physical tasks throughout a full shift
Compensation and schedule:
- Starting pay from $17.00 per hour
- Part-time hours, Monday through Friday
- Evening shift schedule
- No weekend work required
